Frederick, MD (April 30, 2025) – Plamondon Hospitality Partners is pleased to announce that Matthew Zappone is joining the organization as Chief Financial Officer.
Matthew brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in financial management for large organizations, having worked at companies such as Capital One and Verizon. Most notably, he spent the last 25 years at Marriott International in various Finance and Accounting Department roles supporting their Global Operations, Global Brand, Global Design, Information Technology, Engineering, and Sustainability teams. During his Marriott tenure, Matthew led the Sustainability Finance team in support of Global Operations’ Climate Action Program to drive investment and enhance energy efficiency at over 9,000 hotels. Matthew’s expertise in financial management, analysis, and strategy will be a valuable addition to the Plamondon leadership team.

The Plamondon Companies includes Plamondon Hospitality Partners, which owns and operates 16 Marriott, Hilton, and Holiday Inn properties across Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. This third-generation, family-owned and operated company is expanding its footprint, including the development of the full-service Marriott hotel and conference center on Carroll Creek in Frederick, Maryland. And as CFO, Matthew will play a key role in future developments.

In addition to supporting the hotel division’s growth, Matthew will also be supporting the Roy Rogers Restaurants division, the western-themed, quick-service restaurant brand, 23 company-owned restaurants and 16 franchised restaurants in five states. A Cherry Hill, New Jersey location will soon be added to the portfolio, and there are more opportunities for growth in the Northern Virginia market.
