Explore Cumberland

Cumberland is nestled among the Appalachian Mountains of Allegany County in western Maryland. It’s home to the Allegany College of Maryland, Rocky Gap Casino Resort, and just minutes from Frostburg State University. The Fairfield by Marriott Cumberland overlooks the gorgeous north branch of the Potomac River, and is within close proximity to local dining, shopping, and entertainment. Take a dip in the hotel’s indoor pool, relax in the hot tub, and eat al fresco at the outdoor picnic area.

Visit Cumberland

The acquisition of the Fairfield by Marriott Cumberland is the first of its kind for Plamondon Hospitality Partners. Its parent company, Plamondon Companies, has owned and operated a Roy Rogers restaurant in Cumberland for over 30 years. That location has consistently been a top performer within the restaurant division, and with the company’s excessive knowledge of the Cumberland market and its hotel management experience, the opportunity to acquire the Fairfield property seemed like a perfect fit and is a welcome addition to this hospitality company.

Leisure and Business Travel

Being surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains makes Cumberland the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The hotel is adjacent to the historic C&O Canal and close to Rocky Gap State Park featuring a Jack Nicholas Signature Golf Course. Allegany County as a whole is home to more than 60,000 acres of public land and the Potomac River, providing visitors with ample opportunities for hiking, fishing, cycling, kayaking, canoeing, boating, and much more! Additionally, the hotel’s proximity to I-68, local colleges, Downtown Cumberland, and several of the area’s major employers makes it a great option for business travelers as well.

The Fairfield by Marriott Cumberland is the only Marriott property located in western Maryland. With nine other Marriott properties in Plamondon Hospitality Partners’ portfolio, this hotel was the perfect addition.
